Forceful sequel with plenty of testosterone, lacking the original's shock factor but ingenious and suspenseful enough to hold its own. A cult hit following the director's previous success The Terminator.

Long but sustained kinetic action fantasy which quickly gets carried away with itself, akin to The Matrix but not taking itself quite so seriously.
