Mar 19thThe Rocketeer** US 1991. Touchstone/Gordon Company. 108m. Panavision

In 1938 Los Angeles a rookie test pilot stumbles upon a Howard Hughes-designed rocket pack wanted by both the Nazis and the FBI.
Agreeable comic book heroics with echoes of Superman and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Elementary in terms of script and special effects, but visually quite imaginative and with some nostalgic take-offs of familiar 1930s icons such as Errol Flynn, Bettie Page and Rondo Hatton.

I've never seen that behind the scenes show, but it does sound interesting. Ipswich were rockin' back then so the buzz around the club most have been large. I quite like documentaries of that nature. I'm going to buy "Once in a Lifetime" soon. This is the story of the North American Soccer League (NASL) and its rise and fall in the 1970s. As fas as I can tell, the film focuses on the New York Cosmos team and their most famous player, Pele.

...as for "Rocketeer", what a fun little film that is! I love it...yet another one to add to the must buy list! :) I recall a 1940s serial called "King of the Rocket Men", which I'm sure this film owes a lot to. Watched that on BBC2 in the summer about 20 odd years ago!
