Hot Fuzz*
(Cineworld Ipswich)

A crack Metropolitan Police officer is "promoted" to a sleepy South West town, where all is not as it seems...
Snappy, dizzyingly edited and rather gory cop movie spoof by the boys who brought us Shaun of the Dead, with an excellent supporting cast of British comedy talent in the best tradition of ironic humour. A pity then, that the last hour of the film disappears into complete fantasy: all high-octane shoot-outs and no gentle satire.

Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Jim Broadbent, Timothy Dalton, Edward Woodward, Billie Whitelaw, Stuart Wilson, Paul Freeman, Paddy Considine, Bill Bailey, Martin Freeman, Bill Nighy, Steve Coogan.

We saw this film a week ago at the Coventry Odeon with Mark. Carla and I really enjoyed it (since my Mrs. saw "Spaced" and "Shaun of the Dead" she's been a *HUGE* fan of Simon Pegg.) I agree with your comments regarding the ending though. There is a little bit too much action here and therefore the film drags on a bit. Other than that, "Hot Fuzz" has a lot going for it in terms of the writing, acting and fantastic editing. Should appeal to a worldwide audience! Check the box office at:

I wasn't at all impressed by 'Hot Fuzz.' Parts were funny and the cast was good. However, it just got too silly in the end and what started out as an interesting idea was spoiled. Not one of my favourite films of the year.
