The Seventh Veil***

(GB 1945)

A concert pianist attempts suicide, and a psychiatrist unlocks her mind to discover which of the three men in her life she truly belongs with.
Stylish romantic melodrama within the then fashionable aura of classical music for this kind of film, a big hit for its stars who practically glow in the cinematography. The ending didn't please everyone, but that didn't stop it becoming a huge commercial success.
